Innovative MLI Solution for a Southeast U.S. Refinery

We recently tackled a unique challenge at a refinery in the Southeast United States with an application for magnetic level indicators, each spanning an impressive 300” center-to-center. The customer wanted to utilize the internal retention spring, but also wanted the ability to mate their process piping on the drain, as well as keep a standard side connected gage. 

This was necessary for a number of reasons, but the most prevalent being support.  The customer has quite a few piping specifications around length of gages and number of connections.  Our ability to keep the retention spring by way of a special flow through plate, and still allow them to connect process piping to the drain, overcame all specification requirements.
